Allow notes

Love this idea. It should be elegantly simple to record as it is right now. Perhaps after putting the digit for the days mood one could write the word “note:” And then everything after that would be saved that way nothing is changed unless you change it as far as the text message.

Yes it would be good to be able to log what causes peaks and valleys on the graph. It should definitely just be an optional thing because the brilliance behind this whole thing is that you just text back one digit. Perhaps it can be on the same text. Like if after you enter the 1–10 digit you put the word “note:” then that would be the catalyst for everything after it being logged.

We are reviewing this request in conjunction with feature requests to:
- Track patient mensural cycles
- Track patient vital signs at time of infusion
- Track other patient vital signs (either clinician recorded or patient reported)
The idea is to create a broad and flexible tool to gather data - either directly from patients or entered by providers.
We are still trying to figure out the best way to store and display this data alongside the more standardized data we're already gathering.

I support this idea. Being that our feelings are the only parameters as to our mental health status, allowing patients to add notations is paramount. Thank you.

I agree!!

This is an interesting idea. We do have a notes section but this is for the clinic to enter in info about the patient and is not accessible to patients to add a note.
The main issues is that patients would need to login into MoodMonitor in order to record notes, but if instructed to do so by the clinic maybe they would do this?
I would think clinics would also want to get a notification if a patient posts a note, otherwise I worry such notes will never be read.
Are others interested in this feature?

Noah Heller: thanks for your interest. Much of the beauty of the site’s method is that recording daily scores is all but effortless - it would be trivial code to parse off anything following the numerical score in the patient’s text reply as a text note. Also I meant these not as notes to the provider but clues in retrospect to disentangle patterns. For example a simple “slept 4 hours” “changed meds” or “had flu” would help me flag confusing points. That day’s score might get an asterisk. I have one of the more complex cause-and-effect relationships. I can also attest the the fewer steps involved the more likely I am to comply.
